• Dr. Tibor Babos has navigated the highest echelons of defense and security as a Colonel in the Special Forces, Ministerial Commissioner, and Chief Government Advisor on Defense Policy. A key architect of Hungary’s strategic defense framework, he founded national security Research Centers and academic institutions across leading Hungarian universities. His leadership extended to NATO, where he was unanimously elected by the National Representatives of the NATO and EU Strategic Working Group and served as Dean of the Strategic Military Community. As the architect and Executive Agent of the Hungarian-American Defense Cooperation Agreement, he oversaw its implementation—roles demanding precision, discipline, and an unyielding strategic vision.
• Yet, beneath the weight of military command and high-stakes diplomacy, Babos led a parallel, hidden life—one of artistic solitude. Unknown even to his closest colleagues, he privately rented a studio where he immersed himself in oil painting, a practice rooted in four decades of artistic exploration. Here, geometric precision met abstraction, and the rigid structures of his professional world gave way to unrestrained creative expression.
• From this interplay between control and freedom, Babos founded Constructive Unrealism on 02022020 — an artistic philosophy that embodies the tension between structure and distortion. His work fuses technical mastery with perceptual ambiguity, proving that discipline and abstraction are not opposing forces, but two elements in constant dialogue, shaping a vision both precise and boundless.
